about us
Fenrir is a small gin brand from Denmark. One gin, Pomegranate & Orange, distilled in small batches on Bornholm.

an engineer’s gin
Fenrir started with an engineer who wanted to build a better gin. Not a long range of flavours or a loud bottle, just one gin made properly.
The recipe was tested and adjusted until the balance was right: juniper and coriander for the backbone, pomegranate and orange for the fruit, and cinnamon, nutmeg and pink pepper for warmth underneath. Every botanical is weighed, and every batch is small.
That is what engineered means to us. It’s why the label says Engineered in Denmark.
named after a mythological wolf
In Norse mythology, Fenrir is the giant wolf, the son of Loki. The gods feared him so much that they tried to bind him. He broke the first two chains. The third, Gleipnir, was made by dwarves from impossible things, like the sound of a cat’s footsteps and the roots of a mountain, and it held. The myths say he will break free at Ragnarök.
The wolf on our label is drawn in the style of Viking-age art, with the spirals and interlaced lines you find on carved runestones and silverwork from the period. It’s on every bottle and on every cork seal.
made on bornholm
Bornholm is a granite island in the Baltic Sea, known for its cliffs, its light and its food. Fenrir is distilled for us there, in small batches, by a small local distillery.
