about us

At the heart of Fenrir lies the spirit of the indomitable Norse wolf: power, freedom and the raw, pristine wilderness of the North. Our first gin, Pomegranate & Orange, is distilled in small batches on Bornholm.

the story of fenrir

  1. the gin

    distilled mastery, bottled legend

Fenrir sprang from an engineer’s vision: to go beyond crafting one more premium spirit and engineer an experience instead. An audacious endeavour, to bottle a feeling, a moment, a memory.

So the first recipe was tested, taken apart and rebuilt until the balance was right. Juniper and coriander for the backbone. Pomegranate and orange for the fruit. Cinnamon, nutmeg and pink pepper for the warmth beneath. Every ingredient chosen with intention, every process carried out with care, every batch small.

The aim was a gin that is not just tasted, but remembered. That is what engineered means to us, and why every label says Engineered in Denmark.

  2. the island

    made on bornholm

Far out in the Baltic lies Bornholm, an island of granite cliffs, sea mist and a light that painters have chased for a century. The wind comes in clean off the water, and the summers smell of salt and pine.

This is where our Pomegranate & Orange is distilled, in small batches, by a small local distillery. The island is part of the story in every bottle.

  3. the name

named after a wolf feared by the gods

In Norse mythology, Fenrir is no ordinary wolf. He is the son of Loki, so vast that at the end of the world his jaws will stretch from the earth to the sky.

The gods feared him above all things and did their best to restrain him. He broke the first chain, then the second. The third, Gleipnir, was forged by dwarves from impossible things, like the sound of a cat’s footsteps and the roots of a mountain. It held. For now. The sagas say that at Ragnarök, nothing will hold him.

To us, Fenrir is the wild that can never quite be tamed. Our wolf is drawn in the style of Viking-age art, with the spirals and interlaced lines of carved runestones and silverwork. It’s on every bottle and every cork seal.

a toast to the trailblazers

In a land of ancient sagas, Fenrir is a toast to the bold: the trailblazers and the trendsetters, the ones who dance to the beat of their own drum, who see the world not as it is but as it could be, and dare to live on their own terms.

When you uncork the bottle, a little of the wild North pours into your glass. Pour it neat, over ice, with tonic or in a cocktail of your own, and raise a glass to a spirit as bold and free as the legendary wolf it’s named after.
